New Year's Day vs. Chinese New Year's Day

新年元旦 (New Year's Day) 在 1 月1日, 即是 "the first of January", 那麼農曆年初一 (Chinese New Year's Day) 英文應怎樣說?
答案是 "the first day of the first lunar month"!

同一道理, 以下中國節日的月和日是:
端午節(農曆五月初五): Dragon Boat Festival - the fifth day of the fifth lunar month
中秋節 (農曆八月十五): Mid-Autumn Festival - the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month
重陽節(農曆九月初九): Chung Yeung Festival - the ninth day of the ninth lunar month

有一點要注意,清明節是四月四日或五日,因為它是定在二十四節氣中,春分後的十五天,所以不是固定在四月五日,也不是以農曆來決定的。因此, 清明節是跟西曆的, 日期在 "the fourth/fifth of April"。(春分:在時間周期上是指太陽位於黃經 0°和15°度之間的位置，大約是3月20日至4月5日之間。但在實務上通常特指太陽真正位於黃經0°的那天：3月20日或3月21日。)

in/on the tree?

以下哪一句正確?
1. The bird is in the tree.
2. The bird is on the tree.

就中文的文法而言, 我們會說「那隻小鳥在樹上」,
但英文的正確文法是 "The bird is in the tree.",
除非是生長在樹上的果子, 我們才會用 "on",
如 "The apples are on the tree"。
